What should the host do to have a safe and successful party?

For a good party, you need to plan and get organized. You’ll need to take care of every small detail and make sure that your guests will enjoy their time at your party. Here are some tips that might help you:

  • Establish a budget and make a “to-do” list.
  • Make a guest list, a food and drinks list, and a list of dishes, plates, glasses etc. that you will need.
  • Do you want music and if so, what kind? Make those arrangements.
  • Double-check the guest list. You don’t want to wake up and find out that no one is coming to your party, or that your colleague will bring her entire family with her. A few days before the event call everyone and ask them if they are planning to come and who will accompany them. In this way, you will know how many chairs and plates you need or if you should buy more food.
  • Make your house safe. And by this I don’t mean to install a new alarm system. When people have a good time, they can forget to pay attention to what is around them and you can find your beloved statue broken on the stairs. To avoid these kinds of accidents, put away anything that can be broken or that can hurt someone. No, you should not keep those decorative swords on the wall.
  • Invest in good food. This is one of the things that your guests will remember, so don’t think that a few snacks will be enough. If you are not a good cook, you can arrange with a local restaurant to deliver the food a few minutes before the party. All you have to do is to put the food on plates, arrange it on a table when the guests arrive.
